Makgadikgadi Pans National Park
Gweta | Mobile Safari Camping | 2-7 Day Trip
The Makgadikgadi Pans is one of the biggest salt pans worldwide. They are formed by two large and thousands of small pans within an area of more than 8,400 square kilometers. The name Makgadikgadi means, vast lifeless land. For those who prefers solitude and silence this is paradise, as even during the high season people are scarce here. The national park forms a unity with the Nxai Pan National Park only separated by the Maun – Nata tar road from each other.
In the South west its border crosses the Ntwetwe Pan in the west the Boteti River forms the boarder. The Makgadikgadi salt pans is situated south east of the Okavango Delta. The flora & fauna in the Makgadikgadi pan include Lions, Giraffes, Kudus, black – backed Jacklas, Springboks, Impalas, and Bat-eared Foxes. On mobile safaris we will always make the comfort of your stay safe and enjoyable with informative guides & staff.
